Description
  This course introduces attendees to the National Electrical Code (NEC) 2020 edition, significant changes from the prior version and applicability to the installation of alarms and electronic security systems.    

ADA

Description
This course satisfies the NJ State Licensing Requirement for 2 hours of training in the Americans with Disabilities Act for Fire Alarm, Burglar Alarm and Locksmith Licensees.  The course explains the purpose of the ADA and its relationship to other standards such as NJ Barrier Free Sub-code, ANSI A117.1  and NFPA Life Safety Code, as well as the responsibility of the Fire Alarm, Burglar Alarm and Locksmith contractor relative to all these requirements.

Description
 This five hour course covers all details of requirements that individual licensees and business alike need to know in order to comply with the licensing laws and regulations and related laws and regulations. 

Residential Smoke Detection Course required for Burglar Alarm Licensees updated for 2022

Description
We review the code requirements for designing, installing, servicing, maintaining and monitoring residential smoke detection systems including from the IRC, NFPA 72, UCC and Licensing Law.  NJ Burglar Alarm LIcensees are required to complete at least 3 hours on this topic before renewal.

IBC 2018 NJ Edition Chapter 11 and ANSI A117.1 Accessible and Usable Buildings and Facilities

Description
Revised for 2022, this satisfies the requirement for Licensees and applicants to take 2 hrs in the NJ Barrier Free Subcode.  NJ has adopted the IBC, 2018, NJ Edition for this purpose.  This course outlines the construction requirements for systems to be in compliance with the ADA in NJ.

NICET 2 Exam Prep

Description
This course will help you prepare for the NICET 2 Fire Alarm Exam.   We review parts of NFPA 72, NFPA 70, International Building Code, IFC, IRC, NFPA 101.  We review elements of a shop drawing, performing site surveys, project management functions, measuring ceiling pitch or slope, performing take-offs, calculating number and spacing of devices, drawing symbols, reading and interpreting building system plans, using Gantt Charts, Basic logistics terminology, sequence of operation matrix, system startup and diagnostics, basic troubleshooting, fire-stopping practices, lock-out-tag-out, mentoring others,on-site coordination and communication and more.
