 Fire Alarm Systems based on NFPA 72 2022 Edition 

This Two-Hour Seminar will present the NJ Rehabilitation Subcode, which regulates work in existing buildings, as adopted in New Jersey tailored specifically for and to the Security and Fire Alarm Industry in an easy to understand and follow format. Changes will be discussed including cross references to 2020 NEC and 2019 NFPA-72.

This Two-Hour Seminar will discuss key topics of concern for the electronic life safety industry with regards to Areas of Refuge and Two-Way Communications Systems. The seminar will review basic means of egress concepts including accessibility and how Areas of Refuge play a critical role in occupant evacuation and safety. In furtherance of this Two-Way Communications Systems will be reviewed including attended and unattended operation, wiring methods and survivability.

 This course introduces attendees to the IBC, 2021, NJ Edition and highlights its applicability to the installation of alarms and electronic security systems as well as changes from previous editions 

This course satisfies the NJ State Licensing Requirement for 2 hours of training in the Americans with Disabilities Act for Fire Alarm, Burglar Alarm and Locksmith Licensees.  The course explains the purpose of the code and its relationship to other standards such as NJ Barrier Free Sub-code  as well as the responsibility of the Fire Alarm, Burglar Alarm and Locksmith contractor relative to all these requirements as an employer and contractor.

Requirements for the fire alarm, burglar alarm and locksmith trade  from the National Electrical Code

Revised for 2025, this satisfies the requirement for Licensees and applicants to take 2 hrs in the NJ Barrier Free Subcode.  NJ has adopted the IBC, 2021, NJ Edition for this purpose.  This course outlines the construction requirements for systems to be in compliance with the ADA in NJ.

 This course satisfies the requirements for Licensee to complete 2 hours in the laws and regulations governing the trade.  

 This course satisfies the NJ State Licensing RENEWAL Requirement for 2 hours of training in the Uniform Construction Code for Fire Alarm, Burglar Alarm and Locksmith Licensees.  The course explains the relationship to adopted standards, an overview of the permit and inspection process and the responsibility of the Fire Alarm, Burglar Alarm and Locksmith contractor relative to all these requirements.  

  This course introduces attendees to the National Electrical Code (NEC) 2023 edition, significant changes from the prior version and applicability to the installation of alarms and electronic security systems.
