This Two-Hour Seminar will present the NJ Rehabilitation Subcode, which regulates work in existing buildings, as adopted in New Jersey tailored specifically for and to the Security and Fire Alarm Industry in an easy to understand and follow format. Changes will be discussed including cross references to 2020 NEC and 2019 NFPA-72.

This Two-Hour Seminar will discuss key topics of concern for the electronic life safety industry with regards to Areas of Refuge and Two-Way Communications Systems. The seminar will review basic means of egress concepts including accessibility and how Areas of Refuge play a critical role in occupant evacuation and safety. In furtherance of this Two-Way Communications Systems will be reviewed including attended and unattended operation, wiring methods and survivability.

Americans with disabilities Act
Description
This course satisfies the NJ State Licensing Requirement for 2 hours of training in the Americans with Disabilities Act for Fire Alarm, Burglar Alarm and Locksmith Licensees. The course explains the purpose of the code and its relationship to other standards such as NJ Barrier Free Sub-code as well as the responsibility of the Fire Alarm, Burglar Alarm and Locksmith contractor relative to all these requirements as an employer and contractor.
